The Project
The construction of São Paulo’s Metro Line 6 is part of a sustainable infrastructure project that promotes low-carbon transport and better connections between suburbs, business centres and universities. The line is expected to serve more than 600,000 passengers per day when it opens in 2025. It will include 15 underground stations over 15.3 kilometres and serve five of the city’s main universities, saving almost an hour of travel time, particularly between homes and workplaces.
Valued at €2.8 billion (15 billion reais), it is the largest public-private partnership (PPP) infrastructure project in Latin America. STOA is contributing its expertise in PPP structuring to help the concession company secure long-term financing.
