Buildings & Logistic Services

A subsidiary of the H&S Invest group, Buildings & Logistic Services (BLS) is a Moroccan logistics company primarily active in the retail and pharmaceutical sectors. In 2023, STOA invested in the company with the aim of improving supply chains in these sectors and ultimately contributing to economic growth.

Challenges

Logistics costs account for around 20% of Morocco’s GDP. In 2008, the country launched a national strategy to improve its logistics competitiveness by 2030. The plan aims to improve urban logistics and encourage third-party logistics (3PL) outsourcing to specialised service providers.

The Project

Buildings & Logistic Services, a major player in the 3PL sector, is expanding its regional network to provide its customers with high value-added logistics services. The company plans to open seven new warehouses, starting in the north of the country and in non-coastal regions. It is also working to expand its offering to the pharmaceutical sector, which is growing rapidly in Morocco.

STOA’s investment will enable the company to improve its exchange infrastructure by building new warehouses. It will also help to optimise distribution channels by pooling logistics infrastructure and integrating the distribution chain, thereby reducing the country’s logistics costs, which account for around 20% of GDP.

STOA’s contribution has increased our financial capacity to implement an ambitious development plan. Their support will help consolidate our position in the Moroccan logistics sector.

Moncef Belkhayat, CEO of H&S Invest
