Mass Céréales al Maghreb
Based in Morocco, Mass Céréales al Maghreb is a leading player in grain port logistics. STOA became a shareholder in 2025. Our objective is to support the development of strategic grain terminals across Africa, strengthening food security and creating sustainable employment opportunities.
Challenges
Faced with strong demographic growth, Africa remains highly dependent on grain imports to meet the steadily increasing food demand. In this context, efficient port and logistics infrastructure, as well as modern grain handling and storage facilities along the continent’s key import corridors, are essential to ensure reliable supply, limit supply chain disruptions and reduce costs.
The project
Mass Céréales al Maghreb is a leading grain port logistics company in Morocco. Since its creation in 2008, the company has operated dedicated terminals in Casablanca and Jorf Lasfar and has handled more than 55 million tonnes of bulk grain, representing nearly half of Morocco’s grain imports over the period.
STOA’s investment, alongside Africa50 Infrastructure Acceleration Fund and Holmarcom Group, aims to support the pan-African expansion of Mass Céréales al Maghreb through the development of new grain terminals in several African ports. Leveraging the company’s operational expertise and the long-term commitment of its shareholders, the project will contribute to strengthening food security, improving logistics efficiency, supporting regional trade and creating sustainable jobs across the continent.
Strengthening Food Security Across Africa
Alongside Holmarcom and Africa50, STOA brings its ESG expertise to the development of essential grain logistics infrastructure. Expanding efficient grain handling and storage capacity helps secure food supplies, reduce logistical losses and improve port efficiency. Beyond its economic benefits and job creation potential, the project contributes to strengthening the resilience of food systems across African territories.

We are delighted by this fruitful partnership—alongside STOA and Africa50 IAF—which will enable us to expand our activities and further contribute to food security and economic development in the region. Together, we are well positioned to address the growing needs of the African market with resilience and innovation.
